Who is responsible

SoundTrek is run by Rene Jongsma. This page explains which cookies and similar browser storage SoundTrek uses, and how you can control them. For everything else about your data, see our Privacy Policy.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to see which pages are visited and how visitors find SoundTrek. Google may then set the following cookies for up to 2 years:

• _ga — distinguishes visitors
• _ga_* — keeps track of the current session

If you reject, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded at all and these cookies are never set.

Strictly necessary storage

These are needed for SoundTrek to work and don't require consent:

• rj-consent (local storage) — remembers your cookie choice for 12 months.
• Sign-in cookies set by our authentication provider Clerk, such as __session, __client_uat and __client (names may carry a suffix). They keep you signed in and protect your account.
• soundtrek:location (local storage) — only if you allow location access: caches your last location so your feed can be sorted by distance without asking again.
• mapbox.eventData* (local storage) — set by Mapbox when you open the map, used by Mapbox to operate and bill the map service.
• App cache — our service worker stores a few app files (soundtrek-shell-v1) so SoundTrek loads quickly and works as an installable app.

Change your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
